Embedded into the monitors

AVDS backbone distributes 4K video around the aircraft in outstanding high quality, protected (encrypted), ultra-low latency, visually lossless compression format.  

By providing Monitor SOMs, vendors making aircraft monitors can embed this small form factor SOM into their Monitor to receive this video format directly and the monitor SOM will decrypt and decompress the high-quality video for display in normal HDMI output at the monitor itself.
